Short course
Mindfulness Foundations
A practical introduction to mindfulness for anyone who wants to experience what mindfulness really is.

What it is
Experience mindfulness from the inside out
Mindfulness is not something you can fully understand by reading or talking about it. It begins with experience.
Mindfulness Foundations offers an accessible first introduction to mindfulness for anyone who is curious about the practice. Across two live sessions, you explore what it means to pay attention to your experience with openness and without immediately needing to change it.
Through guided practices, short teaching moments and reflection, you experience different forms of mindfulness, including the body scan, sitting meditation, mindful movement and the breathing space. You also begin to recognise automatic pilot, notice how stress shows up in your body and discover simple ways to bring more awareness into everyday life.
No previous mindfulness or meditation experience is needed. The course can be taken simply as a personal introduction to mindfulness, and it also provides a valuable foundation for those who want to continue with the AMT Mindfulness Trainer for Children training.
