About Eline Snel
The woman behind the method
Therapist, author and founder of the Eline Snel Method. For decades, Eline has explored how mindfulness can help children, young people and adults meet their inner world with more awareness, kindness and choice.

Her work
A method shaped by years of practice
Eline’s work grew from decades of experience as a therapist, mindfulness trainer and teacher. Rather than simplifying an adult practice for children, she developed an approach that speaks their language and starts with what they can actually experience: the body, the breath, thoughts, feelings and the world around them.
That practical, compassionate approach became the foundation of the Eline Snel Method and continues to shape everything AMT teaches today.
The book
Sitting Still Like a Frog
The frog became a simple way to explain attention to children. It can sit completely still, while staying awake and alert, ready to move when the moment calls for it. No complicated theory, just an image children can understand and remember.
Sitting Still Like a Frog brought that approach into homes and classrooms around the world. Translated into more than 30 languages, it introduced countless parents, teachers and children to the Eline Snel Method.

“The development of conscious attention is the basis for every form of learning.”

From one method to a worldwide community
What began with Eline’s work grew into an international network of professionals trained to bring the method into their own classrooms, practices and communities. Today, thousands of certified trainers continue that work around the world, each passing it on in their own way.
